Asus ROG II Smartphone comes with Some Insanely High-End Specs

Asus ROG Smartphone

Starting from a 120Hz AMOLED screen and Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon 855 Plus processor to 12GB of RAM and two USB-Cports, the newest smartphone y Asus, the ROG II has almost every high- end spec you can think of.

Though, an overkill as some may say, the objective behind designing the device has been to attract hardcore gamers looking for the best performance.

The company made and announcement recently where it said that  the ROG Phone II incorporates everything they have learned from their first foray into high-end gaming phones and then some to create another pocketable gaming powerhouse.

The second-gen model takes the specs up a notch, though even the first foray was quite impressive. The device which boasts a 6.59-inch screen and weighs in at over half a pound, also addresses two complaints people had with the first ROG phone- poor battery life and the odd, off-center placement of the rear fingerprint sensor.

As an answer, over the last year’s 4,000 mAh capacity, the new ROG Phone II gives you a, 6,000mAh battery backup. The other issue is resolved by giving a fingerprint sensor, which is embedded under the phone’s screen.

This time Asus gives not just one but USB- C port, the latter of which supports DisplayPort 1.4 and USB 3.1 Gen 2 connections. A proprietory port is also given by the company which can connect to the company’s accessories, including its gaming pad, desktop docking station, and a fan cooler.

12GB LPDDR4X RAM, either 128GB of storage or 512GB UFS 3.0 flash storage, and a 3.5mm headphone jack is incorporated in the new device. Dual- lens being 48MP and 13MP at the rear make up the camera system.

The one thing that lacks is an edge-to-edge screen. In stead of this cutting- edge smartphone feature, it sports bezels on the top and bottom of the screen to incorporate the twin speakers and a front-facing camera. When the user game two-handed, the bezels also prevent your grip from accidentally interfering with the screen.

The phone is expected by September, however there is not much revealed about its price currently.
